If you hit the 6AM class, he’ll be right next to you cheering you on to hit that heavy squat clean or tough muscle up. Outside the gym, he’ll be right there if you need a helping hand to move into your new home, set up your new squat rack, or just cheer you up when you’re feeling down. “Watching and coaching Louis over the last year and a half has been monumental. Even in a pandemic he worked daily on his clean and his Handstands. I would get videos weekly asking for tips to be better. He is one one of the hardest working athletes in the gym. Even though I have to bribe him at times to take rest days and take yoga, I wouldn’t change a thing about the athlete he is. Not only will you find him at the top of the leader board but you will also find him cheering on the last person finishing their workout each class. About Louis…

Most frequent class time and how many days/week do you Crossfit?

What was your fitness background before you started at Babylon Crossfit?
Pretty much zero. Haven’t played a team sport since High School.

What accomplishment are you the proudest of (outside and inside of the gym)?
Outside of the gym is my family. Inside the gym would be making the quarterfinals and AGOQ.

After a hard workout, what is your favorite meal?
3 eggs, turkey sausage, strawberries, and a blueberry english muffin with coffee.

What are some of your interests outside of CrossFit?
My wife would tell you I have no interests outside of Crossfit but I do enjoy spending time with my family, beach, music, summer BBQ’s and unfortunately the NY Jets.

What do you do for a living?
Head of Sales for a financial technology firm.

What is one goal that you are currently working on?
Getting stronger and working on technique for my Olympic lifts.

Favorite WOD?
Murph, half marathon row, or any partner workout.

Favorite Cheat Meal?
A burger & a beer.

Favorite memory at Babylon Crossfit?
The Murph is the best day of the year also really enjoyed bringing back Friday Night Lights for the open.

If you had a music genre, song, or artist playing in your head at all times what/who would it be?
Two Friends Big Bootie Mix, Volume 13.

What’s on your DVR/current favorite TV series & favorite Phone app?
The Office, Breaking Bad. Phone app probably Instagram, love a good meme.

Any advice for people who are just getting started with CrossFit or maybe too afraid to start?
Just start. Consistency over perfection. Come to a 5 am or 6 am class and you will meet some of the nicest, helpful & most supportive people around.
